Meet Age: Gender: Color:

Lucy is a sweet, shy girl who was adopted three months ago after leaving a breeder/trainer environment. She is very submissive and sensitive, and while she has been gentle, she becomes nervous and jumpy around young children. Her family realized she was much more relaxed and happy in a quiet home, and she would truly blossom in a calmer environment.
Lucy loves her crate as a cozy den and finds comfort in having her food and familiar things nearby. She may “panic piddle” when scared, and she needs a patient, gentle approach as she settles in. She is afraid of getting into the car but rides fine once inside.
Lucy’s crate, food, and favorite toys will go with her. She is looking for a peaceful, understanding home where she can feel safe and thrive.
Less than half the veterinary costs for a rescued Golden are covered by the adoption fee.
Please consider a contribution to help with our care.
Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for heartworm and fecal parasites, and microchipped.
