Meet Nala!

Nala is a smart, affectionate young girl who is looking for a home that can give her structure, training, and plenty of activity. She absolutely loves kids (best with ages 7+), enjoys car rides, and is great with friendly dogs and people. She’s a water lover, too—swimming is one of her favorite things!

Nala learns quickly and is very food-motivated. She is crate trained, sleeps well in her crate, and often chooses to relax in it during the day. She’s also confident with noises—thunder and fireworks don’t bother her at all, and she’ll let you know if something unusual is happening outside.

Nala is still a work in progress and will need a committed, patient home. She is very smart and can be mischievous—she’s currently a professional counter-surfer and will grab or chew anything left out. She can also nip playfully at feet when excited, and she is still working on polite greetings and leash manners. She has slipped a collar and bolted before, so she will need a secure home and someone attentive at doors and gates.

Nala does best with chews or Nylabones, and she loves affection—she doesn’t need someone home all day, but when you come home she’ll want to soak up attention and love.

Nala would thrive in an active home that understands training, structure, and boundaries. She’s not “a bad dog” — just a very smart, confident girl who needs the right leadership and continued training. Her foster is already seeing great progress, using tools like a "Bark Buddy" and consistent guidance.

Nala has tons of potential and a huge heart. She just needs someone who sees how special she is and is ready to help her become her best self. ❤️🐾
