Rescue a Golden of Arizona

Meet

Nala

Age: 2 years old
Sex: Female
Color: Golden fur
Weight: 55-65 lbs
Meet Nala! Nala was adopted just a few weeks ago, but her family was not fully informed about her behavioral challenges and feels she needs a home with more time and training experience. Nala is a loving girl who adores kids. She loves to swim, enjoys car rides, and is friendly with other dogs and people. She learns quickly and responds well to treats. Nala is crate trained and feels safe sleeping in her crate or relaxing in it during the day. However, she cannot be left loose in the home yet — she is a champion counter-surfer and will grab or destroy items within reach. She’s still working on good manners: she can playfully nip at feet and ankles, and she needs continued leash training. She has slipped out of a collar and bolted from the front door, so a secure, attentive home is essential. Nala does well with alert barking and isn’t bothered by thunder or fireworks. Nala needs a calm, patient home committed to training and structure.
