Calabash, our neutered male, is the social butterfly—outgoing, affectionate, and thrilled to meet anyone and anything. Caroline, our spayed female, is his gentle counterbalance. She’s shy with new people and tends to retreat to her crate or a quiet corner when she’s unsure, but she finds comfort and confidence in Calabash’s presence . They’ve been loved, chipped, and cared for, but their family simply doesn’t have the time these two deserve. They’ve been free‑fed, and Calabash is carrying a little extra weight, so a home ready to help them get back into a healthy routine would be wonderful. From their photo, they could use a bit of grooming—but underneath that, they’re beautiful, sweet souls who just need the right environment to flourish. Most importantly: they must be placed together. Their bond is strong, and Caroline relies on Calabash in a way that makes keeping them together essential for her wellbeing. Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for heartworm and fecal parasites, and microchipped.
