Meet

Macy

Meet Macy, a sweet and energetic 2-year-old spayed female, who is up for adoption due to her owner’s health issues. Macy has a loving temperament and has been around children as young as six, making her a great fit for a family environment. She is both crate-trained and house-trained, with the ability to use a doggie door. While she has recently been allowed to roam free when left alone, Macy does have a habit of counter surfing if given the opportunity. She may also dart out the front door, so her new home will need to take precautions to prevent this.

Macy loves to chew and shred her toys but is not prone to barking or digging. Though she lives with a cat, she is known to chase the cat at a relative’s house and has shown interest in guinea pigs in their cages. While she’s not a swimmer, Macy did enjoy splashing in the water during a visit to the beach. On walks, she may pull on the leash unless she’s wearing a gentle leader. She knows commands like “sit” and “off” well and can be directed to her bed or crate on command.

Though Macy is a bit shy around strangers, she absolutely adores car rides and would make a wonderful companion for an active and caring home.
