Rescue a Golden of Arizona

Adopted April 15 2025

25-030 Tilly now Maisy

Please help RAGofAZ rescue more dogs like us!

Maisy is doing awesome! She is smart, lovable, and playful. All the things you'd want out of a golden. I built her her very own dog run with a dog door so she has access to outside anytime she needs. She hasn't made any messes in the house in months. She knows quite a few commands so far like sit, stay, wait to eat, hugs, gentle, place, crate, come and we're always working on more. She knows how to fetch all too well.
She does excellent in the truck! We have gone on several road trips. So far she has been to CA, OR, WA, UT, NM, and CO. We like to hike and find water anywhere we go. She swam for the first time in Oregon at Yocult Creek and also saw several waterfalls in the area. She went to her first beach at Cannon Beach. The waves scared her at first but then she quickly changed to chasing them! For sure a water loving dog. We climbed up in a castle in CO (Bishops Castle) and she was fearless haha! She had zero hesitation about walking out on a see through metal grate/balcony with me. She went to her first Golden meetup while in Washington and she didn't know what to do with herself because she was so excited. It was a small one though, maybe 15 or so goldens. We go to dog friendly restaurants and stores any time we can like Lowes, Basspro, Ohso Brewery, Scheels, to name a few.
She has her regular dog friends and people she sees when we're home (in AZ). From the week she was fully vaccinated, we were out and about! Shes loved by all because she is such a sweet girl. She just loves to love! Her first friend, Comet (also a golden, he's about 2 years old) is coming back down from WA for a visit in a few weeks so you know shes going to be playing HARD soon! She's growing fast, already about 48lbs at 7.5 months and she looks great!
She has had a busy life so far and I think she's loving it, and I know I am. I am sure there are things I am forgetting to share but that's a high level view of the Life of Maisy.
Also! I am planning on getting another puppy from RAG. I think Maisy will need a full time friend soon. I'm thinking after she is fixed is when I'll want to reach out to you guys/RAG about a boy puppy.
