Kingsley is a sweet, gentle 10 year-old boy who is ready to find a loving home of his own. He wandered onto a farm property about two to three months ago, and despite the finder’s efforts to locate his owner, no one has come forward. He was scanned for a microchip, but unfortunately, he was not chipped.
Kingsley is an exceptionally affectionate and easygoing guy. He gets along well with the finder’s two Australian Shepherds and has been comfortable around the livestock on the property. He has also spent time inside the house and has been around children ages 2 and up.
Since coming into foster care, it has become clear that Kingsley is blind. He moves slowly and carefully around his surroundings, using his other senses to find his way. His foster says that when Kingsley encounters a person, he simply sits down and offers his paw. He is, in her words,
“the sweetest thing.”
Kingsley will need a special family who understands that a blind dog may need a little extra patience and consistency as he learns his new surroundings. In return, they’ll have an incredibly gentle, affectionate companion who simply wants to be near his people. A predictable, safe environment where he can learn the layout of his new home will help Kingsley feel confident and secure.
Kingsley is currently intact and has been living primarily outdoors, so we would especially love to see him move into a safe, comfortable home where he can enjoy the companionship, security, and indoor life he deserves.
If you have room in your heart for a very special older gentleman, Kingsley could be the loving, gentle companion you’ve been looking for. ❤️
