Katie is an affectionate, people-loving girl who has shown that she really enjoys attention and companionship. During a recent visit, she was so happy to see her visitor that she wanted to climb right into her lap! She clearly has a loving side and is eager for human interaction. Katie spent her days outdoors and was kenneled indoors at night, and since August 15 she has been living exclusively outside. As a result, she hasn't had much opportunity to experience the everyday routines and comforts of a typical home. She is also not accustomed to having people come and go, and she has recently started barking more as she adjusts to the changes in her life. Katie's limited socialization simply means that she will need a patient adopter who is willing to give her time to learn and settle into her new world. With kindness, consistency, and plenty of positive experiences, she has the opportunity to blossom into a wonderful companion. Katie has already shown us that she is affectionate and wants to connect with people. Now she needs someone who will give her the chance to discover how wonderful life can be as a beloved family dog. Katie is ready for her fresh start—and she would love for that fresh start to be with you!
