Sonny is a sweet, gentle boy who loves children and enjoys spending time with other dogs. He regularly visits some golden retrievers and a pitbull. He is house trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a dog door. Sonny knows the commands "sit" and "wait," rides well in the car, and although he may whine a little when first left alone, he settles down quickly. When meeting new dogs, Sonny may bark in excitement to invite them to play, but he has never growled or been involved in an altercation. Like many curious dogs, Sonny will help himself to food left on counters, so keeping tempting items out of reach is important. He also has a habit of darting through open doors, so his new family will need to be careful to keep doors and gates secure.
