Please welcome Kai and her puppies! Kai is a beautiful 3-year-old Golden Retriever who recently gave birth to nine adorable puppies. The puppies are a Golden Retriever mix. We DNA-tested two of the puppies, and the results are below (scroll down). Kai and her puppies came to rescue when their family was no longer able to care for them. The puppies were just over a week old when they came into rescue, and they are growing rapidly! Kai will be spending the next several weeks in a dedicated foster "midwife" home where she can focus on raising her babies in a safe, nurturing environment. In late July, these adorable golden retriever mixed puppies will be ready to find their forever homes. Kai was examined by a RAG-approved vet, and appears healthy. After Kai and her puppies settle into their foster home, they will receive any necessary medical care as they prepare for their future forever homes. While Kai is not yet available, we wanted to introduce this sweet young mama and her family. We look forward to learning more about her personality as she settles into foster care and will share updates as they become available. Think one of these puppies might be your perfect match? 🐾🐾🐾UPDATE:

We recently received DNA results from two of the puppies. The results show a fun mix of approximately half golden retriever, and one quarter each border collie and Australian shepherd, with a little bit of Labrador retriever and German shepherd. It looks like these pups have a wonderful blend of intelligence, athleticism, and affectionate personalities! In the meantime, they're growing fast, becoming more playful every day, and getting closer to the day they'll be ready for their forever homes.

Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for heartworm and fecal parasites, and microchipped.
