Please welcome Kai, a beautiful 3-year-old Golden Retriever who recently gave birth to nine adorable puppies.
Kai and her puppies came to rescue when their family was no longer able to care for them. Since the puppies are just over a week old, Kai will be spending the next several weeks in a dedicated foster "midwife" home where she can focus on raising her babies in a safe, nurturing environment.
At this time, we have very little history on Kai. We are told that she is healthy, but there are no veterinary records available and she does not appear to have received routine vaccinations or veterinary care. After Kai and her puppies settle into their foster home, Kai will receive a thorough veterinary examination and any necessary medical care as she prepares for her future forever home.
While Kai is not yet available, we wanted to introduce this sweet young mama and her family. We look forward to learning more about her personality as she settles into foster care and will share updates as they become available.
The puppies are a Golden Retriever mix, though the father's breed is unknown at this time.

Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for heartworm and fecal parasites, and microchipped.
