Meet Bocci, an adorable 11-month-old spayed female who is looking for a home that can help her channel her enthusiasm and continue her training. She is being surrendered because her family's older dog has not adjusted well to having a young, energetic companion, and Bocci's training needs have become more than her owner can manage.
Bocci is a friendly, playful girl who loves being around people and enjoys making new friends. She gets along well with other dogs and does well with school-aged children. Her experience with cats is unknown.
Like many young dogs, Bocci is still learning her manners. She would benefit from continued work on housetraining, keeping all four paws on the floor when greeting people, and resisting the temptation to counter surf. She also enjoys digging and would love an active family that can provide plenty of exercise and enrichment.
One of Bocci's favorite activities is playing in the water, making her a great match for a family that enjoys outdoor adventures. She is crate trained and settles well in her crate, although she is not yet doggy-door trained.
Bocci is a sweet, happy pup with lots of potential. With patience, consistency, and love, she will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to embrace all the fun that comes with a young Golden.

Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for heartworm and fecal parasites, and microchipped.
