Meet Scout, a nearly 2-year-old spayed female looking for a new home through no fault of her own. This sweet, 70-pound girl is friendly, submissive, and full of energy. She loves to swim, knows basic commands, and does best with a gentle leader on walks. Scout has lived with another dog but has limited experience with dogs outside the home and is untested with cats. She's healthy aside from occasional ear infections and is reportedly up to date on vaccinations. Scout may be too exuberant for small children, as her size and enthusiasm can be a bit much. She's ready for an active home where she can thrive.

Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for heartworm and fecal parasites, and microchipped.
