Meet Layla!💕
Please welcome Layla, a sweet and lovable 6-month-old Golden Retriever who is looking for a new home where she can continue learning and growing into the wonderful young dog she is meant to be.
Layla is coming into rescue because her owners feel that she has more energy than they can handle and they have been having difficulty getting her trained. She is a typical energetic puppy who would thrive with an active family willing to give her the time, structure, training, and exercise she needs.
Layla can be a little lacking in confidence, so she will do best with patient, encouraging people who will help her build her confidence. She would probably be happiest with somewhat older children who are active and can keep up with her energy level.
Layla is crate trained and does well in the car. She loves to chase balls and is always ready for some fun! Like many young dogs, she is still working on her manners. She pulls on leash, does some counter surfing, and needs to learn to be careful around open front doors. She is not doggy-door trained.
Layla has not had a lot of experience with other dogs, but she has gotten along well with the dogs she has met. With continued positive socialization and training, we expect her to become a wonderful companion.
Layla is a sweet, energetic young girl who is looking for a family ready to give her the guidance, exercise, and love she needs. If you're looking for a fun-loving puppy and are ready for the work that comes with raising a young Golden, Stella may be your girl!

Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for heartworm and fecal parasites, and microchipped.
