Kira & Poppy

After waiting a year, RAGofAZ emailed to say they had a Golden named Kira from Mexico. I drove to Tucson, met her, and two weeks later they delivered Kira on July 28th, 2018. That was a GREAT day.

Kira had never played with toys, fetched a ball or given kisses and was afraid of water. I took her in the pool so she would never forget where the steps were.

We went on many two-mile morning walks. Funny, Kira was waiting at the door every morning at 7 AM, no matter the weather, and I did not disappoint her.

Although Kira has slowed a bit, she is great with kids and people, and loves other dogs. I appreciate RAGofAZ for rescuing Goldens and giving them to people like me who love and treat them with kindness. I am proud to be a member of this organization.

Poppy popped into our lives in 2014. It was love at first sight, and first pop up / jump up at first sight! The wonderful veterinarian in Tucson thought she was about two years old.

Poppy has always been a dedicated and patient lizard hunter. Now she has slowed down, and lies down waiting for a lively lizard. She has numerous nicknames – Otter Pop (when swimming), Floppy Poppy, Popsicle, Poppy Annabel and K-Pop Lizard Hunter.

We cherish every day with Poppy!

Thank you Rescue A Golden of Arizona and Scottie McGowan.
