Meet Red, is a stunning 2-year-old red-coated Golden Retriever who’s never known life inside a home. He’s spent his life in an outdoor enclosure with a shed for shelter and has had very little human handling. Because of this, Red will need a patient, experienced adopter to help him learn to trust and adjust to the world around him.

Red hasn’t been housebroken, hasn’t been to a vet (although his previous owner gave him basic puppy shots), and has had little to no leash experience. When walked, he does better with a harness. He’s smart and observant but very timid. If coming to a busier environment, it’s crucial to use a secure harness and leash to prevent him from bolting.

He gets along well with other dogs  but hasn't been exposed to cats.

With time, consistency, and compassion, Red has the potential to become a devoted and loving companion.
