Finley is doing very well! He loves his toys and is systematically destroying them lol. He is still very much a puppy in a giant body! 😉
He plays and plays with his 24 lb sibling who is also about the same age. They absolutely love and adore each other.
He gets super excited when it’s time to go on his morning walk and we always stop at the park so he can have a few minutes to run and chase the birds and lizards.
He walks really well on a leash!
He also loves the outdoor time he gets at our cabin in Williams where he can explore the forest and also chase lizards.
We used his kennel initially as we didn’t know how he would do unattended at home when we were gone but we have slowly been leaving him to have the run of the house while we are gone and so far he has done amazingly well for up to about 3-4 hours. We haven’t used the crate for a long time now.
He is a snuggler for sure and he wakes us every morning around 5:30-6:00 to go out to potty and then comes back in to snuggle and cuddle in bed for another hour or so.
He knows we are suckers and allow him on the furniture. LOL
He is a very handsome boy with beautiful curls all down his back. Hopefully you can see those in the pictures.
We have taken him to obedience training and he is a little distracted but he is learning and I’m sure he will continue to do well. He really wants to please although he can be a bit stubborn at times lol.
We love him dearly and he definitely helped to fill a hole left by our last Golden, who passed away shortly before Finley arrived.
We feel that Finley was sent to us by our Tucker (the one who died) and we are so glad to have him in our hearts and our family.
