Meet Murphy, a sweet and gentle 15-month-old neutered male (57 lbs) who’s looking for a quiet, patient home. Murphy had a tough start in life and is very anxious—he’s frightened by noise, movement, and unfamiliar environments. Despite this, he’s loving once he warms up and gets along well with other dogs in the home. He’s crate-trained, up to date on shots, and knows basic commands like “come” and “kennel.” He enjoys his toys, shares food, and is mellow indoors, but he’s not ready for long walks or car rides yet. Murphy hasn’t been exposed to children and would do best in a calm home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. He has had some training with a behaviorist referred by RAGofAZ.

Upon intake, dogs are given a complete exam by a licensed veterinarian, updated on vaccinations (if necessary), spayed or neutered (if not already done), tested for valley fever and microchipped.
