Snowbird and Alta are a bonded pair of 6-year-old male Golden Retrievers looking for a new home together. Their owner, who has had them since they were 8 weeks old, can no longer provide the time and attention they deserve due to a second job. Snowbird, the runt of the litter, is a red, sweet-natured boy who may be developmentally delayed and is currently underweight. He is being fed Pedigree twice a day with raw eggs to help him gain weight. Alta, also red, is the confident alpha of the two and enjoys swimming, while Snowbird prefers to stay dry. The dogs are fed separately, as Alta will eat Snowbird’s food if given the chance. Both are friendly, easy-going, and get excited to see people. They are not food-aggressive, can be touched anywhere, and are walked on regular collars. They enjoy early morning visits to the HOA park to run and have free access to the first floor of the house throughout the day. At night, they sleep indoors. Neither dog is a counter-surfer, but both are afraid of loud noises and seek comfort in the laundry room. They were previously taken camping and allowed off leash.
