Rescue a Golden of Arizona

Pending Adoption

Meet

Hugo

Hugo is an 18-month-old intact male Golden Retriever who was rescued by his current owner from a homeless person last October and has since been living in a small studio apartment. Due to limited space and resources, his owner is seeking a better environment for him.

Hugo is housebroken and knows the command “sit.” He’s a strong boy who pulls on the leash and is very skittish and shy. Crowds and loud noises frighten him, and when he’s scared, he’ll seek comfort by climbing into your lap. He has not been vetted, and his experience with swimming, cats, cars, and children is unknown, though he does enjoy the company of other dogs. Hugo will also counter surf, so he’ll need some guidance and training in that area.
