Meet

Maverick

Maverick is a 16-month-old English Cream Golden Retriever. His previous owner surrendered him because they couldn’t keep up with his high energy level due to health issues. Maverick is an active and playful dog who loves swimming, playing fetch, and being outdoors.

Maverick tends to chew and dig out of boredom, so he would thrive in a home where he can get regular exercise and mental stimulation. He might be a bit excitable around new people and may jump up, but he will sit when told.

He is neutered, house-trained, and uses a dog door. Maverick is up-to-date on vaccines and walks well on a leash. He knows a few commands and responds to instructions, including sitting. Maverick is a bit shy around other dogs at first but warms up quickly and enjoys playing once he’s comfortable. He hasn’t been around cats, but he has interacted well with children as young as 8 years old.
