The good people of Rescue A Golden of Arizona (RAGofAZ) have been supporting our Season of Giving with contributions to help ensure that every Golden Retriever in need can be “re-homed for the holidays!”
Inspired by these acts of generosity, Dave and Jeannette Morrocco have challenged their fellow Golden-lovers with a generous offer of their own. Along with Moochie, Gracie, Georgie, Mia, and Gronk, Dave and Jeannette will match donations to RAGofAZ received by December 31, 2024 up to $5,000.00!!
Why? It’s all for the love of a Golden (and Golden-hearted dogs too). Dave and Jeannette tell us how they and their five dogs came to be such a special family.
“Our five pups are our kids. Between 3-5 of our dogs sleep in bed with us every night, which means our king-size bed is really just a sleeping bag.
Moochie, Gracie & Georgie (1st three in back row of photo) were all adopted. In fact, Moochie was rescued the day he was going to put down at a Utah animal shelter.
Gracie & Georgie are siblings. We could not stand the thought of them being separated after five years together, so there was no question that both would be adopted even though we already had three dogs at the time.
Gracie was very sedentary, 30 pounds overweight and had hip dysplasia and Valley Fever. Almost one year later, she is down 25 pounds, her Valley Fever is in check, she runs around like a 2-year old, and has taken over as the leader on our pack walks.
There is absolutely nothing more fulfilling for us than giving these angels their best life, as they deserve it!”
The only gift that Moochie, Gracie, Georgie, Mia, and Gronk really want for the holidays is for RAGofAZ to continue its work so other Goldens can have a second chance at life like they did. Please don’t miss this paw-some opportunity to help.
