Easy ways to support Rescue A Golden of Arizona

Sunny Sue holidayDean and I lost our Sunny Sue yesterday. She was almost 13 years old and was rescued from the shelter by RAGofAZ at 9 months old. She was our first rescue and got us into this crazy business.

Sunny suddenly developed vestibular disease (dog vertigo) and possibly a stroke Tuesday night. She spent Wednesday night in intensive care at AMSC but by yesterday, she had deteriorated significantly.

Sunny saw so many fosters come through this house, went with me on many home visits, and attended innumerable RAGofAZ events. She loved her two sisters, Holly and Dakota, that we lost a few years ago. Sunny still enjoyed playing with her brothers, Jayce and Gus. Her name so suited her as she loved to bask in the sun—no matter the weather.

This is one of my favorite photos of her.
