We need a few more Home Visit Team members in the Scottsdale, North Phoenix, and Paradise Valley areas, and we'd love to have you join us! We could also use help in Payson and Show Low, though the need there is less frequent.
Home visits are one of the most important steps in our adoption process. They help ensure that every Golden is placed in a safe, loving home where they can thrive.
No experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training, including a detailed Home Visit Manual, ride-along sessions with experienced volunteers, and ongoing support from our Home Visit Coordinator. If you're comfortable talking with people, using email and Word, and are willing to learn, we'll teach you the rest.
As a Home Visit volunteer, you'll:
• Meet with adoption applicants (in person or virtually)
• Conduct a friendly, structured interview and home tour
• Complete a simple Home Visit Report
If you have a Golden, you'll bring them along for in-person visits to help with introductions. If not, we'd still love to talk with you about ways you can help.
