Tomorrow we kick off our Season of Giving campaign with a bold and exciting challenge: to raise $10,000 on Giving Tuesday to match this same amount that has already been pledged by several generous members!
Why are we asking for this extraordinary level of support?
In 2024 alone, we rescued 150 Golden Retrievers, including more than 50 puppies! In a single week last spring, we rescued three pregnant females - Bailey, Ella, and Sunny - who delivered 23 Golden Nuggets within days of each other. Every single pup received screenings and shots, and will soon be spayed and neutered as part of the comprehensive care we provide.
Perhaps even more significantly, the good people of RAGofAZ have rescued a large number of puppy mill dogs that were in desperate need of medical care, nutritious food, and behavioral therapy to heal the trauma they had experienced. To see these frightened animals slowly recover and accept the touch of human kindness for the first time is a joy we will never forget.
This level of care is not inexpensive. We have never before asked so much from our members. But we ask you now to step up to meet the $10,000 challenge because we know, at this very moment, a Golden Retriever is waiting for rescue and reprieve.
