OMG, have you seen the Golden Selfies?? This year’s Cutest Golden Contest is up and running on our web site. The voting restarts every week. Even though the votes are only a buck each, I’m going to be broke in no time, as there are some really cuties in the contest. You have to check them out!!
Last year, your Board held their Retreat in March. At this retreat we reviewed all of our Policies and Procedures and noted how outdated they had become. Some had not been revised or updated in over 6 years. So, we took on the challenge to get these revised and current for our teams. Well, it has taken over a year to get 
it all done and we should have them ready for distribution to all our team members by the end of March. Policies & Procedures for Intake, Home Visit, Placement, Transport, Vet Care, Vet Records, Follow Up, Behavior, Adoption, Woof Line, Microchip, Membership, Events, Fundraising, Operating Procedures, Business Plan, and Database. Thanks to all of our Directors and Coordinator who put in a lot of work to these documents.
Make sure you mark your calendars for our upcoming Links of Gold Golf Tournament. Our Chairman, Chris Brant, has his committee in place and their first meeting was kicked off this month. The date is in place for September 9th, 1:45 PM, Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale. So, if you play golf or have friends that are golfers, plan on joining in on the fun. See more information here.

The best way is to learn how to read the labels, but if you’re like most people, you probably find the terminology more than a little confusing, if not downright indecipherable. The temptation to reach into our medicine cabinets to treat our pets can be very dangerous. Humans and dogs react very differently to medications, which is why veterinarians caution dog owners against making independent decisions about how to medicate their animals. However, some human medications are safe for use with dogs, as long as they are used appropriately.
