President's Message
This will be a shorter Golden Tales than normal as many of you will have much on your plate and many will be busy getting ready for Christmas and the holidays. Another Golden Tales will be forthcoming before the end of the year.
You will receive this message just in time for a last reminder that we are still looking for volunteers to help with the final three days of Gift Wrap, December 22, 23, 24. The regulars will be out there but through experience we know the more individuals and Goldens that are present at the sites the more successful financially will be the fundraiser. The coordinators and their teams of volunteers have made a terrific start to the gift wrap season, please join the band. We would love to see some new faces at the sites. You can go online and sign up right away for an hour or two. Results of the Gift Wrap efforts will be shared shortly after the holidays.
On behalf of the Board of Directors I want to thank you all for supporting the organization over the last year. I also want to wish you and your family members (of both two and four legs) a merry Christmas, a wonderful holiday season along with a happy and healthy New Year.

Membership Dues are Tax Deductible, just as are Cash Donations to RAGofAZ
Federal regulations state that membership dues to an organization like ours are charitable contributions and can be declared as a deduction on your tax returns.
The information supplied by us in the past was inaccurate and so we our pleased to correct the error. With the end of the tax year (December 31) upon us you might consider this a good time to renew your membership or to make a charitable donation to Rescue A Golden of Arizona in the name of a beloved pet or family member.
Holiday Merchandise
The RAGofAZ calendars are selling fast but we still have stock for last minute gifts. Now that you have received that Christmas cake from Aunt Edith you can show your appreciation by going online and providing her address, so she can have one of these beautiful calendars hanging in her kitchen for all of 2016.
It seems many of you saw the beautiful note cards that we had printed recently. The first batch sold out almost immediately. We have rushed through a second printing and we will be restocked this weekend ready for your online purchases.
If you need an extra gift for a relative or friend, the RAGofAZ shirts and hats are as always available to purchase online.
Before the 2015 Gift Wrap Season began there was PACC911 at Shea and 90th Street
There was much action at the Rescue A Golden of Arizona booth at the PACC911 event that was held outside PetsMart at Shea & 90th Street on Saturday, November 14, 2015. The energy and passion of the organization’s volunteers was on display throughout the day. We all can be mighty proud of our fellow members who represented our organization in a first class, quality way at this event. Thanks to Lynn Kitzmann, Emilie Duncan, Andie Graubard, Una and Dave Loge, Lesley Berquist, Lynne Nash, Christina Badger, Dianne Nevius, Becky Buck-Wetzel, Ellen Brant, Kay and Bob Dettling, Lani Hogan and Sybil Adler. Celebration of Life Ceremony
Rescue A Golden of Arizona will honor Ed Karsten, a Golden Champion, with a Celebration of Life on February 14, 2016 in conjunction with our annual Bark in the Park event at the Kiwanis Park in Tempe, AZ. All friends and family are invited to this celebration. Watch for details in future Golden Tales, messages, and on our website.
Rainbow Bridge
